The student chapter of The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) is a professional organization founded by a group of Texas-based corrosion engineers who realized the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange in the fields of materials, corrosion and performance. They wanted to form an organization that could serve as a platform for professional engineers to share knowledge.
